Ruby Purple's abstract paintings are bold and energetic. Inspired by our environment, her images allow the audience to free-associate ideas and meanings behind each work.

My work aims to engage and connect with the audience through the use of layering and mixed media where I represent our changing environment, the beauty of our surroundings and the impact of our consumerism.
I share my message through exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops where I strengthen and teach skills to deliver a united message of diversity in creation and outcomes. My overall aim is to connect with the greater community in regional and remote areas through art and the artmaking process to deliver a message and to introduce people to art as a way to represent their emotional complexities and in turn offering an escape from everyday challenges.
